ABOUT JOHN
John Garde is an Australian artist and educator whose career spans decades of painting, teaching and creative exploration. He taught art at Methodist Ladies' College (MLC) for approximately twenty years before continuing to share his knowledge through workshops and mentoring for adult artists.
His work includes landscapes, waterscapes, portraits, wildlife studies, abstract works and his distinctive fish series.
ART, HEALING & CREATIVITY
Alongside his painting career, John has explored the role of creativity in managing chronic pain and maintaining wellbeing. Through daily sketchbook practice and abstract drawing exercises, he continues to demonstrate the power of art as a tool for observation, resilience and healing.
